Surprisingly, when you “act out” on pornography, your spirit gets a feeling that is stronger than most hard drugs.
The problem is that your body will build a tolerance to dopamine at a rapid rate, so this is what happens next…
Dopamine is the cornerstone of your brain’s behavior reward system, which manages your feelings of motivation, drive, and fulfillment.
Your brain releases dopamine from simple situations like having meaningful conversations, making new friends, excelling at work, even looking at nature…
Here’s where things get twisted…
The dopamine hit you get from acting out your desire for sex is 10 times stronger than what you get from the normal daily activities I mentioned previously.
So, because you build a tolerance to high doses of dopamine quickly, you no longer get the same enjoyment or fulfillment from everyday activities.
Your brain becomes confused as to why it doesn’t feel enjoyment from the things it should get fulfillment from.
You start feeling anxiety, depression, shame, and defeat.
Have you been there before?
The short-term payoff is that acting out can easily grab 100% of your focus, allowing the rest of the world to seemingly fade away for a short period of time.
BUT…
Because you build a tolerance so fast, soon even acting out doesn’t give you a dopamine hit strong enough to feel anymore.
You’re left with complete emptiness until your brain resets…
I used to think I wasn’t controlled by my desires, and I could quit anytime…
Until…
I decided I was going to quit and never go back!
Then I realized my desires had control over me, and I didn’t have control over them.
I needed some outside support.
So let me ask you a question…
Can you quit? (Be honest with yourself.)
Do you remember what normal feels like?
I didn’t…
Until I discovered the ROOT of the issue,
What was creating my unwanted desires?
Then I went through the process of removing this root.
I tried everything in my power to stop it, but the wicked spirit in me was caused by the disobedience of Adam and Eve, and death came upon all mankind.
Trust me, nothing can set you free; no program any men or women put together will be able to remove your sinful desires because the people who created those programs to help you against your sexual desires are being controlled by their own wicked desires and sometimes in worse condition than you are.
I am speaking from my experience.
The Bible says you are overcome by the words of your testimony.
I had five strong, wicked desires that controlled my spirit.
1- Porn and Women
2- Cigarettes.
3- Gambling.
4- Alcohol.
5- Drugs.
My help came from the words of the Holy Spirit of God in the Holy Bible.
1 Timothy 1: 15.
This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners,” and I am the worst of them all.
When I read those words, I felt a strong connection with the Apostle Paul because my name is also Paul, and I knew I was just like him or worse.

If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall indeed be free.

Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. 3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.

Jesus Christ our Lord gave us a word of wisdom, that the only way to recognize a true believer is by his fruits.
Philippians 4: 8.
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
Galatians 3:26,
So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
1 Peter 2: 2.
Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milks that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this good nourishment.
2 Corinthians 5: 17,
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Galatians 2: 20.
My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
I have been free from all the wicked desires of my spirit since 1986, by the grace of the Holy Spirit of God, who abides in me forever 1 John 2: 27.
Now I am waiting for the coming of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Who said in John 14:1-3.
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God; believe also in Me. In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also.
One thing I am certain about is that it takes a real man to follow in Jesus footsteps 1 John 2: 6.
