REVELATION 11: 1-19.

THE TWO WITNESSES REVELATION 11: 1-19.

Enoch and Elijah are seen as possibilities for the two witnesses because of the unique circumstances surrounding their exit from the world. Enoch and Elijah, as far as we know, are the only two individuals whom God has taken directly to heaven without experiencing death Genesis 5 :23; 2 Kings 2: 11; Heb 11: 5. This is my view point because of Hebrews 9: 27, which says that all men are appointed to die once, and after that be judge. The fact that neither Enoch nor Elijah has yet experienced death seems to qualify them for the job of the two witnesses, who will be killed when their job is done Rev 11: 3-12. 

In addition, both Enoch and Elijah were prophets who pronounced God’s judgment (1 King 17: 1. Jude 1: 14-15 the Holy Spirit make sure the first letter in they name start with the letter (E). Enoch and Elijah. 

Let me remind you Moses died at the age of one hundred twenty years. in Jude 1: 9 Michael and Satan dispute over Moses dead body. 

In Hebrews 11: 5 by faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death.

In Zechariah 4: 11-14 he asks the angel about the meaning of the olive trees and the branches, the angel explained the full meaning of the olive trees, they represented the two anointed ones. Only two people who having been translated without seeing death, and are standing before the God of all the earth until the time they are to appear on earth again as the two witnesses of Rev 11: 3-12. Is there anything impossible for God to do. Men can’t go to Heaven by themselves, but God could could take you there if He want.

The fact that the two anointed ones were resurrected prove that all have to see death to be part of the body of Jesus the Christ. 

Only us who are alive when the sound of the trumpet will not see death by God’s grace. But we will be caught up and changed, and receive our glorious body, and forever be with the Lord. In verses 13 the same hour was there a great earthquake,…. Or the same day, that is at the time of the resurrection and ascension of the witnesses, as there was at the resurrection of Christ; and is to be understood of a very great commotion in the civil affairs of kingdoms and nations within the Babylonian Empire, and the tenth part of the city fell. This “earthquake” of the irruption of the Ottomans upon the Grecian empire. “Babylon is fallen, is fallen”, Revelation 14: 8, or it may design the tithes and profits which arise from the several kingdoms belonging to the jurisdiction and see of Rome, which now will fall off from those who used to share them, upon this new and spiritual state of things; the Gospel daily gaining ground, and enlightening the minds of men, and freeing them from the slavery they were held in; The ten toes or the ten fold government of the Roman empire, or the ten kings that gave their kingdoms to the Antichrist, and the remnant were affrighted; who were not slain in this earthquake; these will be affected with the judgments of God upon others, which will so work upon them, as to reform them from sorceries. 
And bring them to give glory to the God of heaven; will acknowledge the justice of God, and the righteousness of his judgments upon those that were slain, and his goodness to them who are spared. 
And the twenty four elders, give thanks to the Lord God Almighty, then the temple of God was open in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail. will the people confess their transgressions and sins they have been guilty of. My prayers is that some will return and give the glory of their deliverance, to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, and not to their idols and images, but to the true God. To Jesus is all the glory Amen.
